Doria was attracting interest from several European clubs, including Manchester City who had recently sent their scouts to watch the player. The City scouts were impressed, but English clubs still see signing straight from South America as something of a risk, and often face problems with work permits.
It is thought that Brazilian players often fit well into the Italian league, and as Juventus operate with a back 3, the young centre back might get a game sooner than many might think.
It still remains to be seen whether this move will take place, and whether it will be good for the player, or if he should spend another season playing regularly in the Brazilian league before moving on.
